Another month, another exciting time for all of us at American Grand! We are looking forward to celebrate February with both our residents and our caregivers! Take a look at the February events/holidays American Grand will be celebrating over the next few weeks.
Valentine’s Day
On February 14th each year, about 150 million cards are exchanged for Valentine’s Day, making it the second most popular card-sending holiday next to Christmas. For many residents of American Grand, Valentine’s Day can be a lonely time. If you have a loved one residing in a nursing home or assisted living center, take the time to pay them a visit or send them a homemade Valentine. Receiving a visit, a greeting card, or a vase of flowers will undoubtedly brighten their day. Thoughtful gestures like these can mean so much to our residents!
National Caregivers Day
Friday, February 19th is National Caregivers Day this year. Across the nation, dedicated health care professionals serve those who require long term or hospice care. National Caregivers Day honors those men and women dedicated to providing these vital services. They deliver a variety of services from personal care to medical services with compassion and professionalism. Their days may be long and demanding, but they provide support to those who need it most.
At American Grand, we would like to thank our amazing caregivers that provide quality, compassionate care to our residents. Please take the time on February 19th to stop in and thank the caregivers helping your loved ones!
Happy Hour Entertainment
Amazing entertainment is coming to American Grand this month! Join us during Happy Hour every Friday for live music from local artists. Here is a list of the entertainment you can expect during February:
- Mary “The Harpist” on February 12th – Mary is sure a delight to have at American Grand! She comes with music that will put the most stressful person at ease. Please come and listen to the enchanted melodies she plays for our residents!
- Brad Klabunde on February 19th – Come sing along with Brad and the residents! Singing your favorite standards, Brad loves being able to perform for you. He may even bring a special guest… his beautiful golden retriever!
- Karaoke at Liberty on February 26th – Come and help us entertain each other at American Grand with a little Karaoke. All requests honored! We welcome everyone to come in and show your hidden talent.
